An audiovisual piece, written by composer Anna Katrin Egilstrøð. Vocals, electronic sounds and film elements are intertwined into a piece about consciousness and being interwoven into a larger whole.
VITI – a word meaning both consciousness and lighthouse, plays with the word and the symbols of it. The lighthouse as a symbol of direction when you are lost in the open storm and the Ocean a symbol of the conscious and unconscious. The lighthouse as the observing being in the middle of the mind storm.
Film elements in VITI are made in collaboration with Faroese film duo Rammatik – Rannvá Káradóttir and Marianna Mørkøre. The choreography is co-created with the dancers Búi Rouch, Katya R.D. Nielsen, Kristina Sørensen Ougaard og Rannvá Guðrunardóttir Niclasen.
